Privacy Policy

Last updated April 2026

1. Who we are

AltStack Inc. ("AltStack", "we", "our") builds custom software for teams in 7 days. This policy describes how we handle personal data when you visit our website, request a scoping call, or engage us to build software for your organization.

For questions, write to privacy@altstack.ai.

2. What we collect

  • Contact information you provide through forms (name, work email, company, role).
  • Scoping information you share when describing the software you want us to build.
  • Usage analytics (pages visited, referrer, user agent) to understand what's useful and what isn't.
  • Operational logs from the software we build for you during development and deployment, limited to what's needed to ship and support.

3. How we use it

  • To reply to you, scope projects, and deliver engagements.
  • To improve our website, documentation, and process.
  • To meet legal, tax, and contractual obligations (e.g. invoices, NDAs, MSAs).

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with vetted sub-processors that help us run our business (email, analytics, cloud hosting) under written data-processing terms, and with courts or regulators when legally required.

5. How long we keep it

We retain scoping correspondence for as long as you remain a prospect or client, and up to 24 months after a project ends. Operational logs are retained per the engagement agreement, typically 30–90 days.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to certain uses. Email privacy@altstack.ai and we'll respond within 30 days.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit, scoped access controls, and audit logging. Projects that require stricter posture (HIPAA, SOC 2 lineage, regulated data) are scoped explicitly during onboarding and priced accordingly.

8. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be announced by email to active clients.
